We have Salman with us today and let's delve into his journey, leadership philosophy, and vision for a future where technology and sustainability coexist.

Your career spans marketing, packaging, education, and authorship. What inspired this diverse path?

My journey began during my MBA and M.Phil. in Market Research, where I became captivated by the interplay of consumer psychology and technology. At DevBatch, I harnessed AI to democratize marketing strategies for businesses of all sizes. Working with clients like OXO Packaging, we gained deep industry insights and helped take their brand global through AI-driven strategies and sustainable innovations. Writing and teaching have always been passions of mine—I mentor aspiring entrepreneurs at various incubators, guiding them through the digital landscape. This naturally led me to author my book, which has garnered significant interest, as it distills practical strategies for success in today’s evolving business world.

As a mentor to young and aspiring entrepreneurs, what impact has this experience had on you, and what do you find most rewarding about it?

Mentoring at platforms like CXO Global Forum, IT & Infrastructure standing committee at Lahore Chamber of Commerce, and PITB’s Plan 9 has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Guiding senior executives, startups, and aspiring entrepreneurs through the complexities of digital transformation, AI integration, and business strategy has deepened my own understanding of emerging trends while allowing me to give back to the ecosystem.

The most fulfilling aspect is seeing mentees apply these insights to drive real business growth. Whether it's helping a startup scale through AI-driven marketing or advising a business on sustainable digital strategies, witnessing their transformation and success is what truly makes mentorship meaningful. It’s not just about sharing knowledge—it’s about shaping the next generation of industry leaders.

Describe a day in your life. How do you balance leadership, innovation, and personal growth?

My day begins at 6 AM with family breakfast, a ritual I cherish. By 7:30 AM, I’m at DevBatch analyzing AI campaign metrics or collaborating on predictive analytics tools. Post-lunch, I focus on our clients work by taking leadership meetings with my team of managers, and often take client calls. Evenings include gym sessions which is a stress-reliever since college and mentoring young entrepreneurs on various Forums is always part of my day's highlight. Late nights are for writing or studying industry trends.

Steve Jobs’ mantra, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do,” keeps me driven.

*Your book, "Your Market is Ripe to Disrupt – The Hidden Methodology of Marketing Truths Every Digital Marketer Must Know!", has challenged traditional marketing approaches. What key gaps does it address?*

Working in the IT industry for more than a decade and growing with the fast-paced world of digital marketing, I realized that traditional marketing strategies were no longer enough to keep up with evolving consumer behavior. Many businesses were still relying on outdated tactics, missing the real power of AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

That’s what led me to write 'Your Market is Ripe to Disrupt – The Hidden Methodology of Marketing Truths Every Digital Marketer Must Know!'. The book fills the gap between conventional marketing playbooks and the dynamic digital landscape, providing businesses with the tools to create agile, AI-powered, and precision-driven strategies. It uncovers the hidden truths of audience segmentation, disruptive positioning, and growth-focused marketing—helping brands breakthrough market saturation and achieve exponential success.

What challenges tested your resilience, and how did you overcome them?

Earlier in my career, employee retention was a hurdle. Losing talent pushed me to overhaul our culture with DEI initiatives, flexible work models, and “Innovation Fridays” for AI experimentation. Retention improved by 50% within a year. Balancing DevBatch’s growth with OXO Packaging’s R&D taught me strategic delegation, entrusting my CTO, Bilal Hashmat, to lead root Capture’s STEM platform, which freed me to focus on long-term vision.

Your work spans AI, healthcare, and sustainable packaging. What is your target market, and what does an ideal project look like for you?

Our focus is on leveraging AI to drive meaningful impact in healthcare, sustainable packaging, and digital transformation. In healthcare, we work with hospitals and medical organizations to implement AI-driven solutions, like predictive ICU admission models that cut wait times by 35% and NLP-based mental health content tailored for vulnerable demographics. The goal is to make healthcare more accessible and intelligent through AI.

On the packaging front, we are committed to green innovation. We collaborate with brands to develop eco-friendly, circular packaging solutions—from biodegradable materials to AI-optimized supply chains that reduce waste. The ideal project for us involves integrating AI, sustainability, and automation to create future-ready solutions that not only enhance business performance but also contribute to a healthier planet.

What advice do you have for aspiring leaders, and how can they engage with your work?

My biggest advice is to embrace AI as a collaborator, not a threat. Tools like ChatGPT-4o can enhance creativity and efficiency, but leadership still requires empathy and vision. Creating psychological safety within teams fosters innovation, and leading with purpose over profit builds long-term success—just like with our packaging product, where our biodegradable designs cost 15% more but increased customer loyalty by 70%.

I’m very accessible and always open to meeting new talent. I speak at public forums in Lahore, including PITB Plan9 meetups, CXO Global events, and Lahore Chamber gatherings. I host open discussions, and I love to hear fresh ideas and mentor emerging leaders. You can also connect with me on LinkedIn for insights on AI and sustainability, explore my book on Amazon, or join my masterclasses at the University of Lahore. Let’s build a future where technology serves humanity—one innovation at a time.
